This blog is for Week 3, Things 4 & 5 - RRS Feeds and Google Reader
I never got a chance to post a blog for it last week so better late than never, here goes...
I found that not that many sites have RRS feeds and finally just had to go to the RSS "feeds directory" in order to practice adding them. I added one and not really on anything I'm interested in, couldn't even tell you what it is without going back to look, then the new "Survivor Redemption Island" started and we're playing the game here at work and we needed to check the website for something and lo and behold, I spied an orange RSS feed button. I went through the steps of subscribing to it and adding it to Google Reader. I thought I was done and could read it in igoogle but realized I had to add it to that page as well. Could I have skipped google reader completely and gone straight to igoogle? Probably, so where does that leave google reader...who really uses it for what...you'd use it for ~all~ feeds and only put your favs on igoogle?
Good point about reader vs igoogle. I guess it depends on how many feeds you subscribe to (I have lots, and they'd never all fit on my igoogle page).
